Use a blank printout for a working session

Print before adding names for a paper planning session. Enter the agreed assignments afterward: paper notes do not update the browser plan.

Add names without rebuilding the template

Add names or import a Name-column CSV. Party groups event guests. Create matching tables before importing assignments; Table IDs preserve references.

Set classroom rows and columns before seating, because resizing clears assignments. See the classroom guide.

Select paper and preserve the editable plan

Choose A4, Letter, A3, A2 or 18 × 24-inch paper. PDF preserves the display; JSON preserves the editable plan and rules. CSV is not a complete backup. For custom arrangements, start a blank plan in the maker.

Questions about this seating plan

Can I print a blank seating chart template?

Yes. Choose a template and print it before entering names. The empty round-table, long-table or classroom arrangement can be used as a paper worksheet.

Can I download the template as a PDF?

Open Print / Save as PDF and choose the PDF destination in your browser’s print dialog. This creates the selected printable document; download JSON separately to keep an editable backup.

Why does this page show my saved chart instead of a blank template?

The tool preserves an existing plan in this browser. Open Templates and confirm a replacement when you are ready to use a different starting layout.
